Sweet lemon confit

Who would have told me that one day M. Alain Ducasse, who is a Great French Chef, would have created a Greek recipe! Yes, you’ve heard right! Because this recipe of sweet lemon confit comes from Mr. Ducasse and was meant to be an ingredient for other recipes! But when I tasted the sweet lemon confit as a stand-alone dessert, a whole world popped up, out of thin magic, coming from by home country, Greece (!), because in Greece we make sweet confit fruits since ages and we are serving them with a bit of their syrup! It’s healthy, very good and very easy to make, for more information read the recipe :-) Intrigued… right?

Cake with lemon and roasted sesame seeds

This cake with lemon, homemade sweet lemon confit (see the recipe above) and roasted sesame is a variation of a recipe coming from the Great French Pastry Chef called Christophe Michalak! It’s a very good cake and thus you can use sweet lemon confit in more than one recipe! The taste of sesame was not very strong, so if you love it you should add a little bit more :-) To your baking tins asap then!

Brutti ma buoni with lemon or very good disastrous meringues

Theses disastrous meringues are sooooo goooooddddd that you are not going to believe your mouth when tasting them :-) The first day you can eat them as meringues but moist in the interior but the following days you should use a teaspoon to eat them :-) the taste of lemon is so strong… just like a lemon injection in the veins when you need it the most! Try them and you will be surprised how a disastrous dessert can be this good!

Pinterest

After waiting for several months, I launched solo food on Pinterest! I waited a while because more work needed to be done as each recipe has its own description and maybe laters I will add also ingredients :-) In fact, Pinterest is by far more interesting that Instagram (which is just trendy) because on Pinterest we can create a link directly to the recipe starting from the photo or pin and this is pure magic! On Instagram is not possible to do so :( So Pinterest is always important and useful especially in a world of recipes! Furthermore, as you know I have this problem with Instagram lately so I will stop publishing there for a while in order to respect a “best” practice and maybe fix the problem even though I find this stupid. If this does not work, I will remove Instagram from the site but I will keep the account just to block the login solofoodfr. So Instagram is dead! Long live Pinterest! Because it has by far more (P)interest !
