Dear all,

Welcome to the weekly newsletter of solo food!

I hope that you are well, that your friends and family are also well! This week I am sharing with you recipes that I have already published (I was a bit busy…) but that they are gorgeous! Maybe you already know them (maybe not) but anytime is always a good time to discover them again because they are just marvelous! But there is also a new recipe because I had already prepared it for you! It’s time to discover that Greeks can also make risottos (I shwear!). Try it and you will not be disappointed. For the end… there is also a good book waiting for you (even in English), and especially for all those that have lost someone they cared because talking about death can do some good after reading this book!

Risotto with leaks the Greek way (prassorizo): The prassorizo or πρασόρυζο is a risotto the « Greek » way and it goes well with the citation in the post, it’s very easy to make and without losing a lot of time. Go ahead try it and you will tell me all about it!

Meatballs in the oven (Mpiftekia) - solo food

Meatballs in the oven (Mpiftekia): Everybody in Greece is struggling to make these meatballs as gentle and moist as possible, so they add a lot of fat and bread, things I should avoid, so I calibrated this alternative recipe, a bit dry but very good, even cold for the aperitif (as they French say) with a little bit of mustard. These are meatballs (beef) the Greek way and this changes everything! I will bring to you, the most “gentle” and moist version I have tasted, when the time comes, coming from my village in Greece; for the moment, just enjoy this light and multi-usage recipe!
Salmon with lemon juice and wasabi - solo food

Salmon with lemon juice and wasabi: This salmon and even more its sauce coming from a well-known British Chef (Gordon Ramsay) is simply marvelous! Soft, moist and spicy (thanks to wasabi), all at the same time, you should really try it :) You just have to buy the ingredients (but I promise you, I will publish more recipes with them) and make it. Simple, very good and very efficient indeed! Enjoy :)

Fresh Water for Flowers - solo food
the book: Fresh Water for Flowers © solo food

The book - Fresh Water for Flowers: This time the book addresses the lives of the dead but also the lives of the living after having lost someone they cared a lot! You are going to say “it’s a bit of a morbid subject, right ?” but I assure you that it’s not. It’s always a hot subject because life is in death and death is in life! It took me a lot time to understand and especially accept this, and it’s for this reason that I share this book with you, because I really like you, and I want to facilitate life for you! Read it and you are going to enjoy it because we can also enjoy a book even if it speaks of death!
A nice evening to you all and enjoy your groceries :)

See you soon and take care,
Dimitra
