Dear all,

Welcome to the weekly newsletter of solo food!

I hope that you are well, that your friends and family are also well, and that you have started going out a little bit visiting bars and restaurants (at least in France) since the beginning of this week! I know that this was missing a lot to many of you but when we eat well at home this lack is less important, the thing that is missing the most is being with others and the moments we share with them :) But we managed to resolve this so enjoy :)

frittata with spinach, leeks and feta - solo food

Frittata with spinach, leeks and feta: Frittatas are advanced omelets in the oven; they are very easy to make and really good. Here, there is a Greek influence because the mix of vegetable and feta cheese is related to the famous spanakopita or σπανακόπιτα, a pie with fylo crust, vegetables and cheese.

artichokes "à la Polita" - solo food

Artichokes "à la Polita": This is a traditional Greek dish that is basically Turkish! Because it means artichokes like in the City, and the City, with a capital C, is Constantinople for Greeks! I did not want to use Istanbul because no one knows this name in Greece, no one talks of Istanbul in Greece, for us it’s always Constantinople and I mean to keep this as is! Imagine that I learnt that there was a city called Istanbul when I was 16 years old, and I learnt that when I was in France not in Greece. But since I learnt that Istanbul means in reality Εις την Πόλη or Iss tin Poli or Towards the City, it hearts less :) To sum up, this is a delicious dish and it really worth the try!
Lemony vial stew with mustard, peppers, carrots and oregano - solo food

Lemony vial stew with mustard, peppers, carrots and oregano: This recipe of vial is inspired from a Greek recipe called lemonato that I already gave you. But here instead of beef the recipe uses vial and thus the result is moister and keeps its light bitterness thanks to the lemony sauce with mustard and green peppers. Try it and I think you are going to like it :)
